Watercolor Greeting Cards

So the past four months (maybe more?) have been beautifully hectic. I've traveled almost every weekend to help some of my closest friends celebrate their weddings by attending their bachelorette weekend, bridal shower, wedding dress shopping, and actual wedding! I have one more left this year and it is my lovely BFFs big day on December 3rd!! Next June, my sister's! Say what?!?

Needless to say, with all these super fun activities usually comes a gift or two...and a card. Well, the one thing that has always bothered me about gift-giving...other than the overall waste of the wrapping paper and packaging, etc....is the cost of buying a card. Lately, cards (in my opinion) have just gotten ridiculously expensive. Like $6 for a card that someone eventually will most likely throw away. I'd rather put 6 more dollars toward their gift! I just couldn't do it anymore! So I started Pinteresting DIY cards and found that watercolor cards were so beautiful. And lucky for me, my close friend, Dani, knows how to watercolor! Yay, resourceful friends! (Sidenote: I've also been getting into calligraphy...we'll save that for another post).

So I've made birthday cards, bridal shower cards, and wedding cards over the past few months and am in love! Not only do I get to make something beautiful for my loved ones, but their faces just light up when they find out I made it. And that...is priceless!

I'll probably write a tutorial on watercolor cards shortly so be on the lookout for that! :)
